| The RadioBody project: Screendance Iteration |
The RadioBody Project is a collaboration with local composer Mike Lauer exploring the jazz sensibilities and human toil and triumph embedded in the work of pioneering alt-electronic band Radiohead. Originally undertaken with a February 2021 stage show at Amsterdam Bar & Hall in downtown St. Paul in mind (which will now occur February 2022), we’ve pivoted to offer a first iteration of the project as a screendance, which we’re proud to premiere virtually with our home audience before submitting it to dance film festivals across the world! Details:
- WHAT: RadioBody: The Screendance Iteration
- WHEN: Friday, February 26th from 7-8pm CT
- WHERE: Via Zoom
- HOW: Reserve your spot and receive access information through Eventbrite (reservations open on 1/30 at 9am), and make your suggested donation/s of $15-$20 per person at our GiveMN page
The event will include the premiere of the screendance, a peek into the process of creating it and a Q&A with the artists! Your Eventbrite reservation guarantees you’ll have one of 100 total Zoom sign-ins available for the live show (viewing optimal on laptop or desktop computer). A donation of $15-$20 per person watching is suggested, and can be made at our GiveMN page (if you are not able to contribute at this time, please consider the event a gift). 10% of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the scholarship fund of Hopewell Music North: we are thrilled to be building a multi-faceted partnership with them to help better access to jazz music and movement learning experiences on the North side of Minneapolis.
