We’ve Got a Title, a Concept, and 8 Awesome Choreographers; Showtime is on It’s Way!

Good Morning, folks!

Heather and I are on a roll getting the 2011 production together, and could not be more excited to share with you what we have generated. Just to wet your jazz-dance palate a bit, here is a taste from the productions of the last couple of years;

If you enjoyed the last two show (and we know you did!), it can only get better from here!! Here are the freshly developed stats for this year’s production;

Groovers & Makers: An Evening of Local Forces in Rhythm-based Dance

Featured Choreographers:
Emily Broeker, Jennifer Glaws, Karla Grotting, Jolene Konkel, Ellen Keane/Cathy Wind, Carrie Lande, Erinn Liebhard, Jeffrey Peterson, and Julie Warder

Concept: With eight choreographers comes eight different insights and processes on how rhythm-based movement can speak to the soul. Viewers and participants alike will have the opportunity to explore this concept, offered a peek, by video, into the creative development of the work.

Rhythmically Speaking couldn’t be more proud to share these insights with creators, performers, students, viewers, and general enthusiasts of all things jazz, rhythm and dance. So get excited! We’ll be offering sneak peeks here and there throughout the summer while we lead up to the show, so keep this page in your RSS feed!

Groove on, rhythm-lovers!
